Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you use the map, we may collect your approximate location if you choose to enable the "Show my location" feature. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve Dig Here, to communicate with you about your account, and to send occasional product updates if you have opted in. Location data is used only to centre the map and is never stored or shared.

3. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia and the United States. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your information in transit and at rest.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Clerk for authentication and Stripe for payments. These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them. Map tiles are provided by Mapbox.

6. Mobile App Data

When you use the Dig Here iOS app, we may collect the following additional information:

  • Device location: Used for compass navigation, GPS tracking, and centering the map. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.
  • Compass and motion sensors: Used for the true-north corrected compass. Sensor data stays on your device.
  • Local storage: Offline maps, satellite imagery, LiDAR terrain, and data layers are downloaded and stored on your device. This data is not transmitted back to us.
  • Account linking code: A 6-digit code links your app to your Dig Here account. The code is single-use and is not stored after linking.

The app does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
