App Guide

My Pins is the home screen - a distance-sorted list of your saved pins and routes. Open the menu (top right) to move between screens.

Sign in and link your account

Open the menu and tap Sign in, then enter a 6-digit app code from dighere.com.au > My Profile > Get app code. Linking pulls your pins and routes onto the phone and keeps them in sync. You can use the app without linking, but syncing to the website needs a linked account.

Start screen preference

Open the menu and go to Account & about > *On launch, start on* > choose My Pins or Map. The app opens on your choice.

Open the map from the menu. The map is the core of the app - everything you need to explore, plan and navigate.

Map controls

• ●Gold + button (lower right): drops a pin at the centre of the map. Name it and it saves immediately - works offline. When you are linked and online it uploads to your website account straightaway; otherwise it is flagged and pushed on the next sync.
• ●Reticule button (right side): re-centres the map on your current location.
• ●+ / - buttons: zoom in and out. Pinch to zoom also works.
• ●Search: find a place by name, or paste coordinates (decimal, hemisphere, or lat, lng) to jump straight there.
• ●Layers: choose a base map and overlays.

Tap any marker

Tapping a marker opens a detail popup with the name, type, coordinates and key facts. From there you can tap Navigate here for compass guidance, or Full details for the full record (notes and photos on your own pins).

Tap Layers on the map to choose what you see.

• ●Base map: Outdoors or Satellite.
• ●Terrain (LiDAR): hillshade relief. Zoom past level 13 for high-resolution 1m terrain. Derived views include Local Relief, Slope, Positive/Negative Openness, Sky-View Factor, VAT Composite, Paleochannel, Terrace Benches and Workings Bump.
• ●Gold workings & leases: historic gold workings, current and historic mining leases.
• ●Drill assays: drill-hole data.
• ●Watercourses: mapped streams and creeks.
• ●Land tenure: tenure boundaries - tap open ground to see who holds it.
• ●My pins: your saved finds.
• ●Dig Here pins: computed prospectivity hotspots, each with a score (out of 100), lane, tier and a signal breakdown (terrain, eluvial, alluvial, geology, radiometrics and more).
• ●Offline areas: shows which areas you have saved for offline use.

Open a pin from My Pins or by tapping it on the map. You can add typed notes and photos to your own pins. Notes use last-write-wins; photos are merged across devices. Everything you add is stored locally and syncs to your website account.

Pick a pin or a Dig Here spot and tap Navigate here. The compass screen points the way with live distance, bearing and ETA. It keeps working offline once you have saved the area.

Open Track from the menu. Records your walk as a GPS trail and lets you drop typed pins as you go. Recording continues with the screen locked, so nothing is missed.

Open 3D terrain from the menu. See the ground in 3D before you head out.

Open Save map offline from the menu (or use the download control on the map). This downloads the base map, terrain and data layers for the current map view so everything keeps working when the signal drops. Saved areas appear under the Offline areas layer.

Open Sync from the menu. This pushes any pins you created offline, then pulls the latest pins and routes (and reconciles notes and photos) from your website account. Sync runs automatically when you open the app and after you sign in.
