History
Birimgan East is a general permission area in the Clermont gold district. The Birimgan area was worked extensively during the Clermont gold rush of the 1860s and 1870s.
What You Can Find
Alluvial gold in creek gravels. Metal detecting in the surrounding ground can also be productive.
Getting There
Located north-west of Clermont, accessible via local roads. Some tracks may require a high-clearance vehicle.
