History
Graves Hill is a fossicking area south of Sapphire in the Central Queensland Gemfields. It sits on slightly elevated ground where sapphire-bearing gravels have been deposited over ancient volcanic terrain.
What You Can Find
Sapphires and zircon in alluvial gravels. The elevated position can produce good quality stones.
Getting There
Access via unsealed roads south of Sapphire township. Signposted from the main gemfield roads.
Camping
No on-site facilities. Camping available in nearby Sapphire township.
