History

Talgai State Forest is a general permission area north-west of Warwick. The forest covers alluvial gold country similar to the nearby Durikai State Forest.

What You Can Find

Alluvial gold can be obtained from sediments within stream channels, from gravel layers in low banks, and from crevices in rock bars.
